Welcome to the Greater Richmond Golf Classic!
We are delighted to host the third annual Greater Richmond Golf Classic at the Richmond Country Club, August 13--15. This tournament
will once again bring an exciting level of women’s professional golf to Richmond. The 54-hole event will be the 16th stop on
the Duramed FUTURES Tour. Lisa Meldrum of Montreal won the 2009 title by one stroke over Gerina Mendoza of Roswell, N.M., Song Yi Choi of
Seoul, South Korea, and Perrilla Lindberg of Bolinas, Sweden.
We invite you to join us at this year’s event to cheer for these 144 talented athletes as they pursue a place on the 2011 LPGA Tour. You
will have the opportunity to play alongside these young, dynamic players by hosting a team in the
Pro-Am, or signing up as a volunteer, where
you will be up close and personal with the players on your assigned tasks. The players you watch at the event come from more than 31
countries around the world.
Our Richmond event reflects the growth and lasting support of women’s golf in Virginia, and importantly, the tournament provides
support for local charities. This year the proceeds from all ticket sales will go to the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign.
